This was a project I worked on while studying abroad in Lacoste, France. The project was preposed by the Office of Tourism for the Luberon Valley. Our task was to create a welcome center that would encourage visitors to explore the entire region. I executed the project wit h my partner, Dana Wait, a fellow Interior Design Major at SCAD. Our goal was to aesthetically take the building back to its original use as a train station while using modern materials and technology. We added touches of ironwork and wood finishes that contrasted our use of glass and concrete. Collaboration was also done with a Service Designer, Jo-Yee Pang who helped us to understand the wants and needs of the user and sparked the idea for a station that would allow the user to plan their trip throughout the region.
