A color Harvest

This project has been an attempt at undesrtanding ecological literacy, sustainability and slow textiles.

I have explored the art of colouring through my culinary experience in Sweden.

The focus of this project was to explore making natural dyes for textiles through everyday food wastes and through indigenously consumed food. Thus, it was a documentation of my culinary experience through the
medium of textiles.

It is also an attempt at understanding slow textiles, as most of the wastes have been collected over a period of time. Some of the everyday wastes that was used were tea bags, coffee powder, orange rind and
avocado peel.

Black rice, olives, berries and purple cabbage have also been tried in the explorations.
