Kurkur Sisters’ House

Revit Modelling of the Site Plan

The suggested location of Kurkur Sister’s House is in an area of conservatories in Fethiye, the house to resemble a big barn with its wooden arches, to be in harmony with the surroundings by accommodating both modern and conservative elements.

The habitants of the house will include the wealthy single mom, Ms. Kurkur and her two daughters. The three women have completely different philosophies of life but are still codependent on each other for socio-economic reasons. Therefore, even the units of the house are isolated from each other but there never is complete separation.

Since the house is within close proximity to the seaside, the Kurkur sisters have many guests. In order to protect the mother’s comfort and to be able to accommodate guests with different expectations, the house has two living areas and kitchens; one for the mom and her guests, one for the daughters and their guests.

While designing the house, the relationship between such three woman and their roles in social life have been considered to an extent that the movie producer little daughter’s room is located at the end of the second floor where she can observe her guests in “daughters living room” from the gallery. Such an approach is maintained in order to overcome the challenge of cohabitation of different personalities in a limited area.
