Camilla De Angelis // Honours Student 2024

My practice mainly involves people and how they interact with their own lives. I work primarily with both analogue and digital photography, as well as video through filmmaking and short documentaries. After my semester abroad, I also reintroduced printmaking into my practice. I love videomaking and photography, but at times, the sheer volume of content on the web can be overwhelming.

I've come to realize the importance of having a paper version that can convey the same concept as a video. My main project revolves around toxic masculinity. I am conducting interviews with male-presenting individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences on this subject.

The outcome will be a sensorial exhibition space where viewers can feel the impact of toxic masculinity, hear it through the voices of the interviewees, and see it through my interpretation of each subject.
