My major project focuses on the negative impacts of social media on the younger generation. It aims to raise awareness about cyberbullying and social media addiction to those who are approaching secondary school. By speaking with a Youth Counsellor and other professionals, I was able to collate a series of visual outcomes that incorporate quotes from qualified individuals. The book I created emphasises the importance of real-world interactions. It features interactive pages that generate positive thinking and act as a form of therapy. It highlights that unlike social media, you know everything added to the book will be kept private. This project also allowed me to create my own typeface that was inspired by the online world.

One of my minor projects gave me more experience with brand identity through the creation of a new gin brand. Inspired by Dunnottar Castle, it features colours that relate to its consumer market and textures that relate to the castle itself.

My final minor project reimagines Aberdeen in colour. I explored this through ten locations around the city, capturing their close-up textures and patterns. This shows Aberdeen as more than just granite and reveals how fascinating places can be when you look closer.
