Brookfield Rail is the sole manager and operator of the freight rail network in the southern half of Western Australia, which is kinda big.
I basically got to draw a whole bunch of cute little characters, but with a purpose. A large number of accidents occur in the rail network each year. As such, Brookfield Rail recognises that they have a social responsibility to educate the community on safe behaviours around train tracks. The below characters were created for the whole campaign around addressing these safety issues.

Below there be sketches!

The illustration process for the girl was a right pain in the arse. It's fairly difficult to make a monster appear like a young girl, and in fact I've always found it difficult to do female characters in general. You can see the process below. I initially didn't give her hair, as I felt that would be the easy way out, but in the end we gave her Katniss braids.

Also did a quick one for a Christmas card. Yay, Christmas!
