The Log Eater is a mascot I drew and designed between my country home and the city where I live the rest of the year. Inspired by my world and nights spent bivouacking in the mountains and forests, the Log Eater is a companion on the road, a companion of smoke.
Before simplifying my features and the mascot's appearance, I first drew a number of sketches to find his atypical character, somewhere between friendly and demonic. Sitting on his wooden seat, he enjoys a night in the forest at the foot of a hill, smoking his log. Finally, the mascot leaves behind that smoky scent, a dark, cold landscape of a mountain fir forest after he's gone... The log eater will return at the next bivouac trail...
