I selected this photo because of how split the photo is. One side is full of life and bright the other side is an empty void. I like how the person looks like their staring into the void of darkness like he saw something or is debating on entering it. I really liked the angle and the area the person was standing in so I took the shot. The more I edited the photo the more I grew to love the photo.
