I selected this photo because I have a fascination with photos of people shot through rails or fences. When taking this image there wasn't very much planning but I had multiple ideas in mind on the day I captured this. I took this photo completely in the dark and used the flash as my only light source. With how the photo looks I wanted to convert it to black and white and leaving emphasis on areas that were black and areas that were white.
