This piece has been a test of faith. I did not know what it would look like when I began. I didn't even have a sense of its final form until I approached the very end. I had trouble letting go of the form that I wanted this painting to take. Once I was able to let go, it evolved.

This painting is very personal for me. The activation encoded in this piece is "Inner Vulnerability." It's about allowing the world to see you, while standing in presence. Inner vulnerability is one of the hardest activations I've had to write thus far. One of my greatest fears is being seen by the world. I knew what this would entail for me if I received the activation. I would have to stand in my light as an artist.

While writing this activation, I was prompted by my Divinity to look up what vulnerability actually meant. I came across an interview that Forbes did with Brene Brown.Vulnerability is not weakness, but showing up and being seen. It is "daring greatly," and going forward as you- all of you-, not knowing whether you will succeed or fail. There's an element of faith in this is. There is also the idea of being in presence. this is so incredibly powerful and it's something that's I've struggled with my whole life, including very recently. Vulnerability takes courage.
