It was very unusual concept - a special hourglass that count exact time of all album and each track individually (by marks on the glass).

After seeing the real life prototype of the hourglass I modeled it in 3d and started experementing with shading and environement.

But trickies part oft it is that the whole album is almost 30 minutes long. And making such a long sand simulation in any software is a big deal. So I did 12 minutes long simulation in Real Flow (and run out of free space on hard drive) and then, after rendering, stretched it in the edit with optical flow.
