The design of the bridges is inspired by the typical 'Zaanse' bridge. Bridges with white handrails and wooden bridge decks, made up of straight elements, where necessary, narrowing and widening. Each bridge is different. First the users of each bridge were identified: pedestrians, cyclists and / or disabled people. The design of each bridge responds to the spot. Each bridge connects different parts of the park with each other and the length of the bridges varies as the ‘Gouw’ River, as a peat river, does not have a constant width. Each bridge has a little twist: an y-shape, along and narrow shape, a balcony shape, etc. This way a family of bridges arise. If you go by boat over the ‘Gouw’ you will recognize the Burgemeester In ‘t Veldpark by the typical bridges.
