THE ONE WHERE WE ALL MISS YOU

THE ONE WHERE WE ALL MISS YOU
PORTRAIT • 2023

So... this is a bit difficult for me, silly as this might sound, but knowing about Matthew Perry's death made me pretty hurt and in pain.

You see, I grew up a very insecure boy, who liked to draw and read comics, and lived a lot in my own little world. I was bullied frequently in school and the one thing that made me endure all of that was my own self deprecating and very sarcastic sense of humor. And like Chandler, I made jokes when I felt threatened or uncomfortable and that helped build my character. So, like Spider Man, always making jokes to throw off the villains or to mask his pain, I saw in Chandler the same thing. It was very easy to relate to him, taking all into consideration.

I lost my father on the 25th of November, almost a year now. Dad had a great sense of humour. Dry, quick witted, very intelligent and sarcastic and I think I keep looking for him everywhere my eyes can see, and it's really hard to know that one of the mirrors just broke. :/

Rest In Peace, Matthew, you genius funny wonderful human being, you!

We'll all miss you.

P.S. - Could I be more sad? Yes, but let's not get into that. :)
