Drawing in Denver

Designing, drawing, then letting the fingers fly with two days of graphic recording: from my Milwaukee drawing board to live and in-person in a mile-high setting at the Charles Schwab IMPACT Conference at the Colorado Convention Center in the Fall of 2022.

The Conference brought together 5000 Registered Investment Advisors to catch the latest knowledge and insights vital to running a successful practice. Here's my work, directed by Derse, Inc. of Milwaukee-a nationwide maker of Exhibits, Events and Environments; and the Charles Schwab Company. 1. DESIGNING THE POSTER I created the visuals and designed the title graphic to appear on two 8-foot posters inviting attendees to "Share your Business Challenge." The design served as the centerpiece of the posters, printed on a surface that I'll be able to draw directly on with markers to capture the attendees comments and insights.

Rough sketches of options for each of the five topics to appear on the poster: "Effective Planning and Communication", "Value is Defined through the Clients Eyes", "Operational Excellence Creates Greater Capacity for Clients", "Your Reputation is Your Brand", and "People are your Most Important Asset" :

2. ILLUSTRATING THE approved VISUALS for the five topics that will surround the main titles, as well as creating the hand lettering and the rest of the design.

3. live graphic recording Traveling to Denver for two-days of drawing the attendees responses, insights, and candid comments to any of the five questions- directly on the poster and in real time. I also captured a few of the comments I heard from the host of speakers and musicians during the live broadcast from the convention hall.
