The goal
In the research done about perception of sustainability in domestic appliances, the fryer was perceived as the least sustainable kitchen appliance. Trying to make a more sustainable fryer and change people’s perception about it,it is a challenge.
The main reason why people perceived the frying process as unsustainable is the large amount of oil used. Therefore the aim was to reduce the amount of oil needed, which makes this fryer also a healthier appliance.

How it works?
Inspired by my own way of frying food in a pan, stirring all the time, so as not to use that much oil. The working principle is based on the use of a rotating basket. The food rotates with the basket, and therefore it goes for some seconds out of the oil. This means that not all the food must be immersed under the oil at the same time.
