La fase preliminare del progetto VEryNICE students -denominata Fenomenologia dello studente- ha indagato il mondo dei giovani universitari presenti sul territorio della laguna di Venezia per conoscerne gli spostamenti, le abitudini, i luoghi e i modi in cui impiegano il loro tempo. Grazie ad un questionario compilato da centinaia di studenti venezini e ai dati forniti dall'associazione culturale Metricubi, è stato possibile capire e analizzare come i giovani si muovono per arrivare in laguna e al suo interno, ma anche da quali aspetti si compone la loro vita quotidiana: le zone maggiormente abitate, i locali e le biblioteche più frequentate, le problematiche incontrate nella loro giornaliera vita lagunare.
The preliminary phase of the project VeryNice students -called Phenomenology of student- investigated the world of university students in the area of the Venice lagoon to know the movements, habits, where and how they spend their time. Thanks to a hundreds of venetian students completed questionnaire, and to the data provided by the cultural association Metricubi, it was possible to understand and analyze how young people move to get to the lagoon and on the inside, but also from such aspects their dailyi lives are composed: the more populated areas, the most popular club and libraries, the problems encountered in their daily life in the lagoon.

Da questa ricerca, e dall'esperienza personale in quanto noi stessi universitari a Venezia, è apparsa interessante l'idea di sviluppare un progetto che guidasse gli studenti che per la prima volta si affacciano nel contesto della laguna, per indicare loro come muovere consapevolmente i loro primi passi all'interno di Venezia, realtà tanto affascinante quanto unica.
From this research, and personal experience as university students in Venice ourselves, it seemed interesting to develop a project that guide students that facing for the first time in the context of the lagoon, to show them how to move consciously their first steps in Venice, a fascinating and unique reality.
