The design of the magazine contains pictures that I have taken and manipulated them in photoshop, and some graphic elements just to give the emphasis I wanted to some important text on the article.
I mostly focused on the appearance and the graphic style, and also the pictures that I took. I didn’t want the reader to concentrate only on the picture. I wanted to lure him throughout the structure of the page.
The visual identity of the magazine are little blurred or gray scaled images because I wanted the reader to give also emphasis on the design of the magazine and also read the content. Some pictures are bleeding into the gutter and outside the margins.
Cover
For the cover I used a picture that I took for an article that is in the magazine. I used the typeface Andale mono for the heading/logo and for the cover lines I used Pf Din.
Contents page
The typefaces i used are Andale mono for headings and for the text I used Pf Din. Also I putted some images from the articles in the magazine along with some graphic elements.
Agenda
The agenda is no contents page. It is referring to events. Most of the events take place in LONDON (used All Caps to show the emphasis on this). The pictures are from the articles included.
Articles
The article talks about that online publishing is not greener than print.
The first picture is of an electricity pole where electricity passes through your computer as i show one in the second picture.

The picture i took is based on the subject ecology and sustainability. About how designers can make a big difference through responsible choices about material and processes used in current projects.

Spreads
I pictured a building that is under construction at the moment. I wanted to show the loss of the Japanese of their houses and that is time to move on and start rebuilding the city.
I used PF Din for the heading and Jura for the text.
I have used a picture of the human lungs because we inhale through them. Difficulties in everything that has to do with breathing start from there.
