Traveling is a beautiful experience, and for a typographer, there's nothing more enjoyable than a personal typography project. The combination of these two passions gave rise to a project that kept me engaged for a year during my free time. This project is a fusion of my love for travel and typography, capturing the essence of these nine beloved cities.

Haifa Farhan

Beirut;
Nestled in the heart of the Middle East, Beirut, the "Bride of the Middle East," exudes timeless charm. This resilient city, adorned with scars of history, captivates with its delicate window geometry, weaving a mesmerizing tapestry of culture, art, and heritage.

Paris;

Paris, the City of Light, unfolds in a geometric reverie, where design breathes life into every corner. It's a testament to Paris's enduring allure, captivating hearts and inspiring minds, transcending time with its geometric elegance.

Damascus;

Damascus, often dubbed the "Pearl of the Levant," narrates its history through the etchings on its walls. Culture is a way of life here, and beauty is seamlessly interwoven into daily existence, making this city an ode to tradition and grace.

Newyork;

Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the vibrant boroughs of New York City come alive through typography. Each letter, curve, and detail tells the story of a city where ambition soars, and creativity flows freely, making this urban tapestry a canvas waiting to be explored.

Istanbul;
Istanbul is an experience where calligraphy meets modernity. Its multi-layered identity is reflected in its very name, inviting you to explore a world where each letter is a love letter to a living masterpiece on the world's body.

Cairo;

Gaze upon our poster and let the typography transport you to Khan El-Khalili's bustling streets, the Pyramids of Giza's timeless grandeur, and the serene Nile River's beauty. Here, history isn't just revered; it's woven into daily life, coexisting harmoniously with progress.

Johannesburg;

Johannesburg's identity unfolds with vibrant patterns inspired by Ndebele artwork and African beadwork. It's a city where tradition transforms into contemporary brilliance, a testament to its rich cultural heritage.

Jerusalem;

In the elegant Arabic script, the name القدس (Jerusalem) emerges, intertwined with patterns echoing centuries of heritage. This poster captures a city where history's weight breathes life into every corner, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of culture and time.

Tokyo;

Tokyo, a metropolis where ancient traditions harmonize with modern brilliance, dances in graceful Arabic typography. This poster is a tribute to a city that whispers its history through every skyline and street, a symphony of cultures in the heart of Japan.
