Project Brief:
Problem
Creative Media Centre is the main constructions in the City University of Hong Kong being the campus expansion, the Daniel Libeskind- designed center houses that aims to increase awareness and appreciation of new media art in Hong Kong and it has been given many of awards.
However, as a design team for impoving the current situation of CMC, after our thorough observation, research and explore, there are problems of this location like the using of spaces, system and food drinks source, which students and staffs have complained about and the issues that they concerned most.
Therefore, we are going to create suitable solutions to make improvement to change the CMC current situation, deliver a significant benefit for the users.
Idea:
According to our obsevation and research of the whole building, in-depth interviews with the users, students who we are designing for, we defined three main problems inside CMC, the “Food and Beverage”, “Money” and “The Use of Space” problems.
Our solutions are "Food Truck", "Convenience store", "Roof top coffee shop and Tai Wan drinks Stall" and the "Camp Site".
