The bathroom is an area where a wide range of products need to be stored. Often space is at a premium and retro-fit solutions are required to help manage increasing storage requirements. The Easy StoreTM Organisers were created to provide users with modular opportunities that offer a versatile and attractive way to declutter their bathroom.
The Brief
In many bathrooms, a lack of storage space is a persistent issue. This scarcity of drawers, counters, and cupboards makes it challenging to maintain order while accommodating daily essentials. Creative solutions can help make more of the space people already have, becoming essential to optimise existing spaces effectively.
Insights
Storage baskets often contain lots of items of varying size - this makes organisation a challenge. Poor organisation of different items makes visibility difficult and increases the time required to find and remove what is needed - items often topple over and become stacked on top of each other. Conventional storage products are often difficult to clean due to surface area and material selection - moisture and grime often builds up around bottles.
Design Development
The Beta team engaged in an extensive series of prototyping to ascertain the ideal size and aesthetic for the basket crates, tailored to Joseph Joseph's target audience. Additionally, they explored the incorporation of practical modular dividers within the basket design to enhance functionality and provide a level of customisation for the user.

Users can enjoy the flexibility offered by the modular dividing system, providing them with the opportunity to personalise their storage solutions, ensuring every item, from toiletries to cleaning supplies, finds its ideal place.
