Meet the Artist
Final product
We got two weeks to make a sort of character sheet for ourselves as an artist. What I usually start with on an assignment like this is the pose. First, I had to gather a bit of information about myself to use, then I based my mood board on my likes, so I could fit my character's posture on it.

I chose to go with a darker kind of fantasy feeling to my eventual sheet. I like working with darker colours and distance myself from the present.
Second Step: Sketching!
Now it is time for the poses. I had a few ideas that I wanted to try out for this, they are all mainly casual. It feels nicer and more fitting for myself than an energetic 'jumps in the air' moment.
Eventually, I decided to go with the fourth character sketch along with the last layout - as you can see by the pose in the last picture -, since it would fit nicely in the down right corner because of its shape. That way, I could put the information above the character without leaving empty space underneath.
Third step: The Project
The first few times working on it, I mainly busied myself with where I should put my character on the sheet, figure out what colours to use and add the shading. I originally tried a lighter green, but it felt too cartoonish for what I was trying to make.
After I finished my character I made a few simple designs for my info boards. Base information, Hobbies, dislikes and likes.

In the second picture, I added some light onto the character to my it jump out more.

After that, in the third, I changed the skin tone to be more pink, since it looked a bit too grim for my liking. I also filled my inventory with some of my favorite stuff.
And there is the final product!
