Good Science is a series of new collages addressing space, architecture, and physical forces. Beginning as recollections of spaces from memory, these works evolve from loose, expressive renderings of rooms and houses to tightly coordinated maps that capture not only the topography of these spaces, but the weight, the stressors that define them. In transitioning the works from expressive architectural drawings from memory to assembled paper, the ephemeral qualities of memory are defied by the very nature of the new medium and process. The soft, degraded qualities of the memories meet hard edge, construction, layered architecture and precise assembly, re-legitimizing their presence as physical structures.
