Working along side an assigned photographer we were to art direct a shoot with the constraints that the shoot was to a still life shot in landscape which incorporated the use of  'cheese' in some shape or form. The context of the image was open to our own interpretations, yet we had to be weary as the art director and designer that the context of this initial still life would ultimately shape the context of the two A2 posters which were to later derive from it, one digital and one analogue.

The concept behind my still life was that I wanted to incorporate the cheese in a fun and clever way with out making it the obvious focal point of the image. Steering away from the traditional forms of photography Chein and I created a graphically rich still life which utilised the presence of the cheese to give and amplified context to the chosen play on words 'I am the gratest'.

The direction of this still life initiated the concept of the hypothetical exhibition 'Food & Art'. The digital poster would be designed to advertise the upcoming exhibition whilst utilising the graphically rich still life which would be a work featured within the exhibition, whilst the analogue poster would be a selected artwork from the exhibition which evidently further experimented with the concept of 'Food & Art'.
