The LLS® team
we decided to dedicate this year to caring for animals

Manufacturing, supply, integration of laser-optic and fiber-optic equipment.
To mark the occasion, we made a kind calendar: furry (and not so furry)
pets of our employees at work at LLS®

Scientific area and lab

Shooting of pets with the equipment took place on the territory
of our own research and production site and technical laboratory.

This was a risky endeavor as some precision equipment must be kept in sterile conditions.
Neither wool nor even dust should come into contact with the optics.

But:)
We really wanted to make the most beautiful and kind calendar

Sometimes it was a challenge to get our furry friends to pose for the camera :)

Negotiating with animals: a special kind of art:) And it's not surprising.
So much attention from colleagues in the whole office is tiring, and some even annoying (Valik the cat)

industrial design

Our engineers have independently developed a picosecond
fiber laser (IGUL), which has already become commercially available.

I worked out the appearance of the laser housing. The task was: to come up
with a stylish design with minimal means and to realize it in the shortest possible time.

The metal body of picosecond laser was painted with matte
dark gray powder coating in a "shagreen" texture.

Specially designed pattern imitating the northern lights
(a reference to the northern territories of our homeland) was silkscreened.

breed: British Shorthair

The photo shoot days were a real treat for the office.
There were furry friends running everywhere, someone took the pet on his desk and worked with him:)

Valik the cat turned out to be a real troublemaker. The most difficult shooting was with this black fluffy devil:)
He couldn't stand still even for a second. He was always running away and hiding from the camera.

Five variants of numerals for calendars were developed.
We chose the easiest one to use.

I'll admit, I have a favorite among the models. It is a poodle Leopold (aka Magnificent).
This 14-year-old has already gotten used to the flashing of cameras and his various images.

All 12 months of the large (A3) calendar

small "house" calendar
All 12 pages of the calendar are small format with a concise numeric design
