The company's software had traditionally run on mainframes ("big iron") or midrange computers (AS400s), but our leadership saw that there were opportunities for PC-based systems, too. The move to PCs meant designing the type of software packaging that the PC marketplace was used to.
Package types varied according to need. The YES/PC box on the right had to store flat, be sturdy enough to ship the product in, then act as a slipcase for the manual and CD. I designed a box that would serve those purposes, and it was produced for us by COLAD.
