Modus Magazine — Marine Surveying
Editorial illustration for Modus Magazine, to accompany an article about marine surveying and the developments in hydrography. Owen created this multi-layered handcrafted composition with layers of paper, cut through with a thin band of colour, to represent the depths of the ocean and how much is still yet to be discovered within it.
The final artwork was layered up using pieces of board and shot in his studio with natural light, to retail the paper textures and give nice soft shadows, bringing the artwork to life.
