Apparel Insiders is an online magazine delivering a no-nonsense insiders’ perspective on the challenges and opportunities of the contemporary fashion industry.
Their magazine grew out of the need to know about the real challenges and opportunities regarding the fashion industry. This site takes a no-nonsense approach at getting down to the nitty gritty on the topics everyone else is avoiding.
For us it was important to develop a sleek and simple user interface that rises up to greet the user. We know their audience is busy and needs information to adapt to their needs so we built in some unique ways to filter the content. As the brand grows further we plan of evolving this concept and built a modular system that is equipped and ready to grow
A clean system allows the viewer to digest a lot of info at once. The huge main slideshow displays the latest stories in a digital format that still feels like flipping through a magazine.
Knowing that our audience is very visual minded and pressed for time we developed clean and intuitive image carousels and slideshows that recreated the magazine browsing experience with the muscle of the web taking it to an evolved user experience.
For image based sections a simple image grid was designed to allow for scanning more sources in less time. As a user clicks through an item it rises up to greet them with additional images and stories.
When searching by section we integrated a slew of filters to allow the user to find more of what they want and even more of what they didn't even know they wanted.
