In 2006, a few months before the inauguration of the new and revisited season of Novarajazz, I was commissioned to design the logo of the event. The design is centred on simplicity in order to make it reproducible on many supports in an effective way, the font recalls the Typewriter characters and the colors, black and red, are almost mystical. There are two vezzi: the Red 'J' vaguely reminiscent of one of the instruments par excellence of jazz (the saxophone) and the last 'Z' raised, almost a sign of improvisation in an attempt to capture the improvisation, soul of jazz.
