When Nestle asked us to create a Facebook presence, "Kit Kat Arabia", I brainstormed with the digital team in Dubai for social media activities we could run online. We came up with 8 ideas and the client loved them all. Before running any large campaigns we first set up the Facebook page and performed a few quick activities to build awareness and generate a fan base to communicate with. During 2010 we ran our first regional activation for Kit Kat Chunky. As we were targeting youths in Saudi Arabia we launched "Kit Kat record breakers," an idea designed to put our audiences  imagination to good use coming up with ideas for new record attempts that could be done at home and within a time limit of 60 seconds. The response was very positive, a lot of record ideas were submitted and a lot of comments recorded on the microsite and Facebook also. 9 months on the rate of growth is positive and the client is keen for us to continue with more activities during 2011. At the time of posting we have over 120,000 Facebook fans.
KitKat Arabia Facebook page - The newsfeed is updated regularly to keep conversation flowing. New games are also updated regularly to keep visitors entertained during their breaks.
