FMP: Layered Lighting, out of the Kiln

Probably my Worst Outcome..
This plaster mould was meant to have a single sheet of glass slumped over the top to form a wall mountable light shade - unfortunately as the kiln was too hot when it was turned on, the glass melting process happened much quicker, making my glued on design evaporate the glue, allowing some of the stringers to roll off to the base.

Then as for the rest of the shape, some of the stringer attached themselves to the glass in time before the sides slumped, but at it was so hot, the glass continued to slump, creating a gap in the centre.
It got so hot it fused itself to the plaster! Of which at first we thought was ceramic - one element that may have changed the outcome I received as it may have come clean off ceramic similar to my phone holder.
It did create some beautiful patterns though
This piece in particular was one that fell down to the side - very thick where the material has gathered towards the bottom and actually I quite like the fact you can see the layers of stringer I've used throughout the layers!
Just a shame even if the light didn't turn out as I expected, I would have liked to be able to create some form of product out of what I had made.. Instead I would try to make another one.
Interesting lava like patterns..
My new design would consist of bullseye glass offcuts layered over a single sheet of bullseye.
I chose blue because it was not only the colour of the majority of bullseye offcuts, but so the light would create a sea effeect onto the glass. However the background panel was a colour changing (although currently translucent and colourless) bullseye glass - I had used up the best glass on my other designs so I would just have to take this risk and hope the colour wouldn't change too much
It turned pink.
Although once holding it to the light it did have the elements of a sunset, I really wasn't keen on this design.
Even though the shapes did look slightly nice.
