Flip Stop:
For a manufacturing assembly project, I need a simple and repeatable way of cutting Ø3/8" tubing in 48" long sections.  Tubing like this generally supplied in coils of 50-100ft or more.  Since the tubing is comes on a roll, it naturally has a curve to it and does not lay straight.  Laying it out flat and measuring it to a length can be difficult and annoying, especially if you need to do this a couple hundred times.

The solution I came up with employs a Ø3/4" PVC pipe and a custom 3D printed Flip Stop.  Ø3/8" tubing is fed in from the pipe side until it hits the Flip Stop.  After it stops, the tubing can be cut flush to the end the pipe.  To remove to cut tubing, just flip open the stop and pull it out.  The Flip Stop was 3D printed and glued to the PVC pipe.  The solution allows someone to accurately and quickly size tubing to the desired length without any setup or skills required.
