I joined the Maltose Falcons homebrewing group in 2003, shortly after I brewed my first batch of beer and just in time to help create a new visual system for their 30th Anniversary. The logo was used on t-shirts, taphandles, beer labels, coasters, and all kinds of glassware.
After the conclusion of the 30th Anniversary celebrations, I adapted the logo for general use, and they kept it until 2009 when they celebrated their 35th Anniversary.
In 2004, the Maltose Falcons were named the California Homebrewing Club of the Year by San Francisco-based Anchor Brewing. To celebrate the honor, I created a version of the iconic Anchor Steam logo which featured Hashiell, the Falcons' mascot:
