Cirque du Soleil Andorra Campaign / Branding



Campaign concept, art direction, brand identity, logo design and custom illustrations for Cirque du Soleil's FESTA, a new and exclusive event created for Andorra, in collaboration with the Andorra Tourism Board. The show identity and key visuals had to reflect both the storyline and spirit of this show, while conveying a sense of celebration - this marks a 10 year collaboration between Andorra and Cirque du Soleil. 

FESTA is set in an upscale hotel in the heart of the Andorran mountains. Through celebratory storytelling, colourful characters and epic acrobatics, the show is a tribute to the vibrant beauty and culture of Andorra. It opens with the eccentric main character, the concierge, who is taking a nap on his lunch break and dreaming of love. With their boss distracted, the hotel staff get busy planning a surprise party to mark the hotel’s 10-year anniversary. The arrival of the travellers kicks off a colourful and chaotic adventure, with the hotel team and guests coming together in a feel-good celebration of friendship, life and love.

Our campaign creation process was driven by a desire to capture the essence of this unique Cirque du Soleil show. By blending creativity and strategic thinking, we carefully crafted a multifaceted campaign that would resonate with audiences worldwide, both in print, digital and on social media.

Crafting a distinctive brand identity, naming and logo were essential to capturing the essence of the show and establishing a strong visual presence. We worked closely with the Cirque du Soleil show creators to understand their vision and translate it into a powerful and memorable brand identity. The logo and illustrations were designed to capture the show's spirit, combining elegance, playfulness, and a touch of magic.

The art direction and portrait photography combine dramatic lighting, eccentric props, theatrical makeup, vibrant colours and gestural exaggeration that pay homage to the show's acrobatic wonders while reflecting the majestic mountains, and LED lighting and colours of the show's set design. The artistic direction of the campaign aimed to balance out a sophisticated, high-end European aesthetic with a modern twist to reflect the set design and costumes and a celebratory "Cirque" aesthetic.
