Pinacosesc is an intern project from SESC, that select few local artists and invite their students to learn more about art, researching several art subjects from the selected artist production. I was very very very lucky to be selected and landed in this beautiful/crazy/fun 2nd graders class. They were very eager to know more about what i was doing and they really liked my favourite color is pink.
Together with the teachers we developed a special project , using the most mediums we could: they wrote together a story about local popular culture, then we started working on this big painted map that later became the land for different sculptures they produced, depicting the characters in the story they wrote (even devil and god were on it, who knows!)
The project, along with other diferent projects from other classes of the school, were exhibited at Sesc gallery, here in Maceió.
Along with the kids project, they asked me to work on the visual identity of the project (Can i be more grateful? I loved doing this). So it had to be really vibrant and joyfull. The lettering is the base to all the visuality, being resignified in all another materials to be used. This is how it look like:
