Hermes 6 Month Mock Buying Plan

Key Takeaway: This project was a quarter-long feat, and it taught me how the crux of fashion merchandising works inside and out. Many roles and responsibilities are involved in how companies plan their product expenses for specific product categories and how successful they are.

Objective: Students will collect, analyze, and interpret data from internal and external sources. Students will identify the steps of making a sales forecast. Using a software program, students will develop a complete six-month buying plan, including classification, size, fabrication, color, vendor, and price. Students will analyze the vendor selection process.

Additional Notes: This was a group project I did for my entire class on retail buying simulation for 10 weeks. This project was split into 3 parts; There were four other women in my group that I had the incredible pleasure of working with, and we received perfect and near-perfect scores on each part of this project. We researched Hermes as our company. The parts that I worked on specifically include:

Setting up the entire PowerPoint, all titles for each part, all table of contents for each part, all appendixes for each part, the formatting, and page numbers.

Part 1: Executive Chairmen, Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Core Values, Product Categories, and Collaborations.

Part 2: Core Brand SWOT Analysis, Key Competitors, their SWOT Analyses, and SWOT Recap for Core Brand and Competitors.

Part 3: Core Brand Summary for the Mission Statement and Values, Statement of Opportunities and Risks, and the Closing Statement.
