Aligned arguments for the dissolution of a human "centre" - By Renáta Dezső

Year:
2022

Deliverables:
Editorial design, object photography

Renáta Dezső's pioneering research delves into the transformative power of design, surpassing conventional notions of disability-focused prosthesis development. Embracing a co-design framework, Renáta uncovers the dynamic interplay between technology, bodies, and cultural theory, reshaping the landscape of human experience.

Identifying how design helps to improve the experience of being human, and not necessarily the user experience of a disabled person in prosthesis design development highlights the constraints of seeing a prosthesis as a process instead of a product.

The dissertation was written for the DLA programme at the Moholy Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME), Budapest by Renáta Dezső.
The documentary photos in this dissertation were taken by Márk Ladócsi. The object photos in the book were taken by Marcell Kazsik.
