Logophobia: A Social Disease

Synopsis
Typography is the main deliverable of information in graphic design. It has been plagued and misused in the past and people have become confused to what the message it is trying to say. This dissertation will explore the psychology of a typeface. The social conventions and how are every changing way of receiving information will affect it in the future. Is the idea of a good typeface told to non designers by actual designers? Have we become jaded and unable to make up our own mind on what looks good and what does not?
The Poster
The poster was created to support my college dissertation. Typography was the main point of the dissertation and how we interpret it and how we ‘fear’ the use of certain typefaces. Exploring why we love a typeface more than another one and if it is forced upon us in order to be apart of social norms.
