Animation for the Audio visual Industries
This was for a College unit where we had to make a logo animation whilst considering how sound and visuals could combine to create an interesting animation. The animation was made in 3DS Max.

During this unit I learned a lot about the Admin side of animating when it comes to creating an appropriate budget for clients, and also how to use Gantt Charts to effectively plan out the work process. This helps if I ever want to go into Freelancing as an animator as I will be self-reliant on figuring out my own finances. Knowing how a Gantt Chart works will also help if I am in a working environment for animation. As they are the standard way of planning out a schedule.

I then moved on to producing sketches and Storyboards for the animation, I eventually settled on the logo being very modern and minimalistic. Whilst also having sound effects being very abrupt when the pieces of the logo fall into place. Going through this development process (specifically the Storyboards). I learned a lot about how to effectively communicate my ideas through illustrations, action lines to show and suggest impact, and text to supplement the visuals. This would be useful to show in a portfolio if I ever wanted to become a Storyboard Artist, as it shows a high level of ability with regards to communicating my ideas visually.
