No Signage System

Early on the morning of April first, we started thinking – how could we approach something day-to-day in a different light? After further discussion among our team, we had finally conceptualized the perfect idea: to create a signage system that doesn’t show where to go, rather, where not to go. It centered around the principles of location and direction and it answered the questions of “where am I not?” and “where am I not going?”. Though it may seem sideways, it is actually quite handy.

After developing the concept, we began working on implementing the No Signage System in our surroundings, at Claan headquarters' backyards, where there is a lot of green space and also a building, which was in lack of informations. We solved that problem: before you even begin to dream of a swimming pool or a bar, our signage tooks away your imagination, so there are no expectations to ruin. We even inform people about some important features the building doesn't have, such as bathrooms, or even highlight that it hasn't a name.
We then upcycled our No Signage System to Claan's office, so people will definitely know exactly what we do not have there.
Our innovative approach caught some attentions and we were commissioned by Canal180 to implement the No Signage at their birthday party, mixed with some of the traditional system, so people would know exactly what they could and could not find in there.
