A Typographic Brief

 

To take apart a manual, explore it's materials, stuctures and functions. To decontruct it visually and conceptually. Thus exploring and creating new meanings. 
 

Manuals have been taken for granted, they sometimes no longer fulfill their goal. A manual must be easy to follow and it's purpose is to help the reader solve a task.

 

My take is to create a manual that confuses the reader, on a topic they already know naturally, breathing.

 

The visual presentation of the manual is closely mimicing the US Army Field Manuals, this gives the manual a sense of trustworthiness.
