Hobby - Photographing Dogs

DogDaiz
Dogs are a big part of my life. Since 2010, I have fostered 36 boxers and adopted 5 (4 of 5 were fosters first). I photograph and build an understanding of the dog to attract adopters. Many of my friends have appreciated the photos that are often taken of their pets when I have watched them. My passion with dog photography started with rescue dogs, but has taken a 'back seat' for the past few years. Here is a small sample.
Trinity, estimated at 11 years, was found after being dumped in a Tolleson neighborhood. She was found with a young purebred German Shepherd. The rescue was surprised with 2 puppies shortly after bringing her in from a county shelter. Those two puppies revealed a perfect combination of Boxer... and German Shepherd.
Big boy, Mack, was rescued from a local shelter and tested positive for heartworm. An easily preventable, life threatening, and terrible disease. Mack was treated and later adopted by his long term foster. (I was temp foster when they went on vacation).
Hard to believe these three dogs came from three different backgrounds... one given up at 10 months old (afraid to be touched because of the way he was treated as a puppy), one surrendered because of divorce (later to become a service dog with Soldier's Best Friend), and one was abandoned in a back yard when family moved away.
Puppy, 3 months old. Boxer Luv Rescue was contacted when he was surrendered to a local shelter (dangerous for puppies without a developed immune systems). Diagnosed with ringworm and treated at a local vet, he came into foster to continue healing, gain some basic training for hearing impairment, and catch up on needed medical care. Lucky me, he was later adopted by friends of mine/previous adopters of Boxer Luv Rescue.
Puppy sitting for my friends, the adopted the previous white puppy, discussed above. Shelby and Moose...
T-Bone... as he was previously named. Surrendered to a local shelter, at 10 years old, when his dad lost their home. I agreed to foster since I had a 12 year old and a 9 year old boxer, with similar energy levels. Due to health and age, I decided to adopt this amazing boy, and he became "MOOSE". He was with me 4 years and 3 months before passing.
