Palace of Justice

Palace of Justice

Designed by the famous architect Alajos Hauszmann, built between 1893 to 1896.  In the main hall there is a huge fresco made by Karoly Lotz, depicting the triumph of Iustitia. The building suffered some damage in the WW II, architect Elemer Rottman Csank was responsible for the renovation after the war. After long years being the Palace of Justice, the building had been a museum.
This magnificent architecture heritage has an atmosphere that is still awe inspiring today when someone lucky enough to step into this masterpiece.
For many years the building was closed before the renovation as it was dangerous. I was commissioned to capture the current state so the architects can recreate its original beauty. The chandeliers were already removed, most of the floor covered, doors and windows mostly taken out. This is the latest snapshot of this gorgeous building. I hope I’ll have the chance to go back after the renovation.
Follow me to feel and see the magical beauty of this place through my photographs.
Thank you!
