Staircases are part of human life. It doesn’t matter which part of the World you live in, you’re familiar what a staircase is. It’s a construction that forms a bridge between places, helps us reach higher or lower locations. It’s a simple concept, yet has so many different iterations. Can be straight, oval, circle, straight pieces connected at angles, wide, narrow, steep, and many more. Despite its basic functionality it doesn’t have to be boring though. In this series I explored Budapest, the capital of Hungary to find some of the most unique old staircases that shows us how a single concept can grow into breathtaking design and art while remaining functional.
