Klarna Card - TV and Content

Brief: Swedish fintech company Klarna wanted to shake up the banking industry and shopping at the same time. Demonstrate the benefits of its card and app, where you can get exclusive deals and discounts and pay up to 30 days later when you shop online or in-store. 

Idea: To create some dreamy broadcast and online content. Klarna used Y2K celebrity Paris Hilton the ultimate shopper, along with her non-binary mega star sidekick Bretman Rock to demonstrate why shopping is now ‘so smoooth’. Giving the brand a retro, quirky and slightly surreal tone of voice. 

Result: Standout in a crowded market appealing to both young and those that grew up with Paris Hilton.
