Mantaray – Flying electric boats? Yes please.
Mantaray is new brand in the boating industry that promises to revolutionise the way we experience the water. Mantaray boats are electric hydrofoiling boats that come equipped with their very own unique hydrofoiling system – DWT.
We worked closely with Mantaray to develop a updated brand identity that is fresh, modern, and exciting. We focused on creating a visual language that embodies the thrill and excitement of hydrofoiling, while also highlighting Mantaray's commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness.
In addition to rebranding, we also applied graphics to the Mantaray boats that further emphasise their unique design and capabilities. Our team was able to find the perfect balance between style and functionality, creating a visual identity that is both striking and practical.
The playful shape of the negative space in the a's in the logo is subtle nudge to the driving joy and unique ability to take sharp curves with Mantarays patented foiling system.
A boat soaring over the waves. A tilted M. A feeling of elevation in the negative spaces. All and all a simple symbol that represents the pure simplistic engineering behind the brand.
We use a playful line to symbolise Mantaray's pure driving joy and to break up the otherwise simple and quite strict nordic feel design system.
Boat display UX/UI
One of our most exciting collaborations was with Empirbus/Garmin, where we worked to rework the display in the Mantaray boats. We pushed the boundaries for how boat displays look and work, creating an innovative and user-friendly system that truly enhances the boating experience. We're proud to say that the new displays are not only aesthetically pleasing but also intuitive and easy to use, making them the perfect complement to the Mantaray electric hydrofoiling boats.
