Anxiety.
six foot long canvas.

An imagined possible landscape where I visit when anxious. I find this a consoling image as I see a central, balanced horizon containing three elements: Air, Earth and Water. Above I imagine a sky radiating from the central, hidden blue column. While below, perhaps water reflecting outcrops of rock and cliff, an obscured coastal town or port on the left side. The environment is a place of gentle contemplation, an environment to focus on; think within, without distraction. While the anxious "streaks" run down the canvas but sit flat, like a layer that can be passed between when focused.

This image also reassures me due to a personal recollection of the stunning, late work by Turner. These works became semi abstract but always hit me with a feeling, a sensation that became transcendent. This was my lofty desire, but now to capture and transcend my anxiety.
