In this project, I have reimagined game controllers in a steampunk style, creating 3D illustrations of different imaginary game controllers.
My aim was to explore the concept of control, from the need to control our surroundings to the desire to control others.
The controllers are beautiful, but they are not functional, representing the idea that our attempts to control things are ultimately futile.
We think that we can control the outcomes of our choices and actions, but in reality, life is unpredictable and uncertain.

Creating these game controllers was an exciting journey.
I started by Blocking out different designs and concepts in Cinema4d, inspired by vintage machinery and industrial revolution aesthetics.
Once I had the designs I was happy with, I began the process of creating the detailed models in Cinema4d.
From there, I moved on to Substance Painter, where I added more details to bring the designs to life.
Finally, I rendered the scenes in Octane, adding finishing touches to enhance the overall aesthetic.
I hope that this project will inspire you to reflect on the idea of control and how it affects your live.
It's essential to recognize that true control is an illusion and that we should focus on the things that we can actually influence.
