Ciepło (Warmth) is a Ukrainian restaurant located in Cracow city center. It serves traditional, homemade Ukrainian dishes. Opened by ZeroCamps foundation, it aims to become a meeting point for Ukrainians in Cracow, and an important place for Ukrainian minority. With help of Lemonade Studio, I designed a brand identity for this place. My goal was to create warm place, which evokes home, even if it's just a small part of it.

As for typography, I used Misto font by Kateryna Korolevtseva. It was inspired by the city of Slavutych. I love the fact that we could use a typeface crafted by Ukrainian designer for a Ukrainian restaurant. The logo is based on Misto, with our trademark – a six point star at the end. It symbolises warmth, home and a spark of hope.

Color palette was designed with print in mind. There are three main colors which work well as a background for black typography. Colourful papers were used to make it feel more authentic than printing the color on white paper.

Applications like posters and menus have small margins, and are printed in black and white on colourful paper. It gives a warm, authentic and homemade feeling of prints which we aimed for in this project.
