Global Health Investment Fund Booklet
Design and editorial work for 'social impact fund' publicity

'Social impact funds' are funds, supported by a mixture of private, philanthropic and government capital, whose primary aim is to produce a social benefit , with a prospect of modest return for investors at the same time. The Global Health Investment Fund is structured by JP Morgan Chase & Co (the producer of the booklet) and sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with support from the International Finance Corporation, Canadian, British and Swedish government development agencies, private coprorations including GSK, Merck, Pfizer and Store brand as well as the NGO, the Childrens Investment Fund Foundation. The Fund's primary aim to to provide finance for the continued development of vaccines and drugs used to to treat diseases that disproportionately affect poor countries, when support from governments alone is under constraint and purely commercial grounds for continuing the research in the expectation of short-term profits are inadequate. The booklet was to publicise the fund in the context of meetings in the orbit the 2013 UN General Assembly in New York. Project management was by Colleen Harris Associates. Photographs were made available by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Sida, the Swedish International Development Agency.
