LES CENDRES DU NAUFRAGE
Poster and communication media for the exhibition “Les cendres du naufrage” by the English artist Dominique White at the art center Triangle-Astérides in Marseille. Mainly made of raw materials and salvaged objects, “Les cendres du naufrage” presents the fictional relics of a black population forced to a perpetual migration and condemned to disappear at sea. The graphic approach chosen for the communication of this event is based on the typographic treatment of its title. The title then becomes a new organic and plastic vestige of this lost world. Associating natural elements that are directly opposed, this typographic object transcribes the duality that exists in the title of the exhibition, but also between the tragic story that Dominique White tells us, and the finesse of the works she presents.
